One of Fibrenamics' main goals is to bring science to society and develop solutions capable of creating sustainable fibers. In an interview with Expresso journal, the President of the Institute, Raul Fangueiro, talks about one of the projects driving this objective – Fibrenamics Green.

"The sustainable innovation initiative aimed to connect technology, product design, and the market. 'A very strong connection was created within Fibrenamics Green between the vertices of this triangle, establishing value chains for each type of waste, meaning those who produce the waste, those who have it, those who can valorize it, those who can transform it into a product, and those who can bring it to market,' explains Raul Fangueiro, President of Fibrenamics.

Waste is not trash, nor should it be hidden in a new product. The goal of this national project was to create a value chain for each type of waste, whether textile or mineral. Through the remnants of each industry, fibers are created that can be used in various applications, from clothing to construction.
