According to a study by Stanford University (USA) and the publishing group Elsevier, titled "World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024," Raul Fangueiro is among the prestigious group of the top 2% most cited researchers in the world.

The document distinguishes the top researchers across 22 areas and 174 disciplines, considering their index, volume of publications, and citations of their work, according to data from the Scopus database up to August 2024. Titled “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024,” the list includes 223 thousand researchers, with 889 of them affiliated with institutions in Portugal. Among them is Raul Fangueiro, President of Fibrenamics.
